As part of the activities of the Future Sustainability Week, the Optical Technologies Department organized a specialized scientific workshop in collaboration with Al-Daqiqa Company Ltd. – HOYA Iraq, held on Monday, April 13, 2026, at the Activities Hall (BC-301), with the participation of faculty members and students. The workshop highlighted the latest smart technologies in vision testing and optical measurement, featuring the presentation of the HOYA VisuReal Move AI system. This advanced technology utilizes artificial intelligence to simulate vision and accurately calculate eyeglass measurements, contributing to improved optical service quality and the delivery of advanced, personalized solutions for users. The event also included a hands-on practical session for students, enabling them to directly explore the device’s operation and gain modern applied skills that enhance their readiness for the labor market, while bridging theoretical knowledge with practical application in optical technologies. At the conclusion of the workshop, the Optical Technologies Department honored Al-Daqiqa – HOYA Iraq in recognition of its efforts in supporting the educational process and its active contribution to the success of this scientific event. This workshop comes as part of the department’s ongoing efforts to keep pace with technological advancements and promote innovation, in alignment with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in the areas of Quality Education, Good Health and Well-being, and Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure, contributing to the preparation of qualified graduates capable of meeting future demands.
