On Sunday, February 11, 2024, first-year students from the Department of Archaeology at the College of Arts and Humanities visited the Contemporary Al‑Hilla Museum on a field trip, accompanied by several faculty members. The students explored the museum's wings, which housed personal belongings of various academicians, writers, athletes, and prominent figures of the city. <br /><br /><br />They also observed some of the traditional tools and equipment used in the daily life of the city's residents, as well as popular crafts and industries that were once practiced. In addition, the students visited the museum library, which contained thousands of books and periodicals donated by numerous academicians and researchers. They listened to a comprehensive explanation from the administrative staff about the history of the museum building and its wings.
