Biochemistry Department Coordinator Obtains a US Patent

Assistant Professor Dr. Aseel Amer Hadi, Coordinator of the Biochemistry Department at the College of Sciences, Al-Mustaqbal University, has obtained a US patent titled:<br /><br />"Alcian blue and L-lysine stains as a fixative for direct observation of Bacillus subtilis biofilm formation in situ, on Congo red agar, using electron microscopy."<br /><br />The patent has been officially registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) under application number 63673381.<br /><br />This invention introduces a new technique utilizing specialized stains to enhance the visualization and identification of bacterial biofilms under electron microscopy.
