The Department of Archaeology in the College of Arts and Humanities at Al‑Mustaqbal University organized a scientific visit to Khan Al‑Nakhila and the Tar Caves.

In an effort to enhance field studies and expand historical knowledge among the students of the Department of Archaeology, the department organized a scientific visit to Khan Al-Nakhila and the Tar Caves on Saturday, February 1, 2025.<br /><br />A group of professors and students participated in the visit to explore the important historical and archaeological landmarks in the region. The tour included a visit to Khan Al-Nakhila, one of the historic khans that served as a major stop for commercial caravans and travelers, where the students learned about its construction history and its significance in past eras. The visit also featured the Tar Caves, regarded as one of the unique archaeological sites, where discussions were held about the nature of their formation and the archaeological discoveries found there.<br /><br />The supervisors of the visit emphasized that such activities contribute to enhancing the practical understanding of archaeological sites, while providing students with the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in real-life situations.
