Alzheimer’s disease is one of the most common neurological disorders and presents a significant challenge to the healthcare sector due to its difficulty in early diagnosis. With the advancement of AI technologies, it is now possible to prevent this disease by analyzing medical data and detecting early indicators of its onset.
AI systems rely on analyzing brain images through MRI techniques, helping to identify neurological changes linked to Alzheimer’s before clinical symptoms appear. Machine learning can also be used to detect abnormal brain activity patterns, enabling early intervention by doctors.
Additionally, smart algorithms help analyze each patient's health history and genetic factors, allowing for personalized recommendations that reduce the risk of developing the disease. AI-based applications are also being developed to monitor cognitive performance and detect early cognitive decline.
Despite these advancements, the field faces challenges related to accuracy, integration with traditional medical systems, and the need for large datasets to train intelligent models. However, with continued research and development, AI is expected to contribute to reducing the spread of Alzheimer’s and improving the quality of life for patients.

Al-Mustaqbal University is the first University in Iraq.
