This educational wisdom is based on understanding the stages of a child's growth and determining the appropriate parenting style for each stage. This approach helps build a balanced and responsible personality.

1. The Nurturing Stage (0-7 years) – "Raise Him"
At this stage, the child depends entirely on their parents for everything. Therefore, the environment should be safe and supportive. The child needs love and affection to feel emotionally secure. Learning happens through play, exploration, and imitation, so parents must be good role models.

Positives:
✔️ Boosts the child's self-confidence.
✔️ Builds a strong bond between the child and their parents.
✔️ Provides a safe environment for emotional and cognitive growth.

2. The Guidance and Accountability Stage (7-14 years) – "Hold Him Accountable"
At this stage, the child begins to understand values and principles, making it essential to establish clear behavioral rules. There should be a balance between rewards and consequences, ensuring the child learns responsibility for their actions. Discipline should be based on guidance and advice rather than physical punishment, with clear explanations of the consequences of wrong behaviors.

Positives:
✔️ Strengthens the sense of responsibility and self-discipline.
✔️ Instills moral and social values in a positive way.
✔️ Develops decision-making and problem-solving skills.

3. The Friendship Stage (14-21 years) – "Befriend Him"
At this stage, the young person becomes more independent and needs parental support through open dialogue and discussion. Parents should give them space to express their opinions and involve them in decision-making. Guidance should be indirect, using real-life experiences and leading by example.

Positives:
✔️ Strengthens the relationship between parents and children based on trust and respect.
✔️ Reduces the generational gap and avoids conflicts.
✔️ Helps young individuals become mature and responsible members of society.

Following this approach in parenting helps develop a well-balanced, strong, and independent personality. It ensures that children receive the necessary support and guidance at each stage, leading to the formation of successful individuals capable of taking on responsibilities in the future.

Almustaqbal University, The First University in Iraq

Al-mustaqbal University
