In the age of data, nutrition is no longer limited to general recommendations—it has become highly personalized thanks to big data analysis and artificial intelligence technologies. Digital nutrition is an emerging trend that leverages an individual's health, genetic, and behavioral data to design a diet tailored precisely to their health condition.

Smart applications collect data from physical activity trackers, weight monitors, blood glucose levels, and even mood indicators to provide daily nutritional recommendations based on the body’s real-time needs. This approach not only aids in disease prevention but also contributes to enhancing athletic performance, weight loss, and the management of chronic conditions such as diabetes and hypertension.

The challenge lies in the reliability and accuracy of the data, in addition to ethical concerns surrounding the collection of sensitive health information. Moreover, this technology may remain inaccessible to large population segments due to cost or lack of awareness.

Despite these challenges, digital nutrition represents a health revolution that is redefining our relationship with food and making sustainable health a realistic goal at both individual and collective levels.

Al-Mustaqbal University is the first University in Iraq.
