Smart agriculture has become the optimal solution to address climate challenges and the growing global demand for food. At the forefront of this revolution is the Internet of Things (IoT), which enables the connection of agricultural fields to smart networks that monitor soil conditions, moisture levels, temperature, and irrigation timing.<br /><br />Smart sensors provide real-time data that is analyzed to make precise decisions about the amount of water or type of fertilizer needed. Additionally, drones and smart vehicles can cover vast areas with minimal human labor, increasing efficiency and reducing waste.<br /><br />This approach not only improves the quality and quantity of agricultural production but also helps conserve water and soil resources, making it a strong contributor to environmental sustainability.<br /><br />However, implementing this technology faces challenges such as high infrastructure costs, the need for farmer training, and poor internet connectivity in rural areas.<br /><br />Despite these obstacles, smart agriculture opens new horizons for food security, especially in countries suffering from water scarcity and limited resources, making it a key pillar in the future of sustainable development.<br /><br />Al-Mustaqbal University is the first University in Iraq.
