Through machine learning and deep learning techniques, it is now possible to analyze the human genome with remarkable precision and speed—tasks that previously required months of manual effort. AI-powered genome analysis enables the detection of genetic mutations linked to rare and common hereditary diseases such as cancer, Huntington's disease, and cystic fibrosis, paving the way for early diagnosis and personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual.<br /><br />From a sustainability perspective, this transformation marks a significant shift in the use of medical resources. Thanks to intelligent algorithms, the need for repeated testing and excessive use of chemical reagents is reduced, which in turn decreases medical waste and the environmental burden associated with laboratory procedures. Moreover, faster diagnostics lead to shorter hospital stays, contributing to reduced energy and water consumption in healthcare facilities.<br /><br />This advancement aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) by improving the quality of diagnosis and treatment, and Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by supporting smart healthcare infrastructure.
