Wearable devices are among the fastest-evolving technologies in the field of digital health. With the integration of genomics into these devices, it is now possible to move beyond simply monitoring vital signs to achieving real-time and proactive diagnosis of diseases based on genetic data.

These smart devices operate by reading biological markers linked to specific genes associated with diseases such as diabetes, heart conditions, and cancer. As soon as any slight change occurs in these markers, the device immediately analyzes the data using artificial intelligence algorithms and then sends an alert to the doctor or the patient.

The unique advantage of this technology lies in its ability to predict health conditions before symptoms appear, effectively transforming medicine from a reactive model to a fully preventive one. Additionally, integrating these devices with mobile applications contributes to building a comprehensive health database that enhances public health through collective data analysis.

From an environmental perspective, the use of such devices reduces reliance on costly and energy-intensive medical tests, easing the burden on hospitals and contributing to resource conservation. This technology truly embodies the concept of “sustainable health intelligence,” where technology meets prevention and public well-being.
Al-Mustaqbal University — The Number One University in Iraq.
