Medical lasers are classified based on their properties and operating mechanisms, with different types used depending on the therapeutic need and required medical procedure. One of the most widely used types is the red laser, with a wavelength between 620 and 750 nanometers, making it effective in treating skin problems and vascular conditions. It is also commonly used for hair removal and reducing skin pigmentation. Following this is the green laser, which has a wavelength of about 532 nanometers and is highly effective at targeting blood pigments and fine capillaries. This makes it ideal for treating vascular lesions and skin discoloration.<br /><br />The blue laser, with a wavelength of around 445 nanometers, is known for its strong ability to break down pigments and fine particles. It is particularly effective in treating dark pigmentation, acne, and in some cases, breaking down kidney or bladder stones. Additionally, pulsed lasers are used to deliver concentrated energy in short bursts, allowing for highly precise tissue treatment while minimizing damage to surrounding tissues. This type of laser is widely used in delicate surgical procedures, such as removing small tumors and accurately destroying affected tissues.<br /><br />These types of medical lasers have unique properties that enable precise targeting of tissues, improving treatment outcomes and reducing potential complications.
