The idea focuses on developing a new treatment approach for physical neck disability through the fabrication of customized fogging lenses for each patient, without resorting to traditional treatment methods, such as the use of electromagnetic radiation (e.g., infrared rays applied to the neck to relax neck muscles through more than ten weekly sessions) or surgical interventions on the neck.
This new scientific method involves applying controlled fogging based on the patient’s head inclination and neck posture, by correcting visual deviation (strabismus) and adjusting the visual axis, as the primary cause is often related to an angular deviation in vision rather than an actual neck problem. The method also incorporates physical exercises for the eye muscles to enhance vision for patients of different ages.
The manufacturing of fogging lenses requires high professional expertise for accurate diagnosis and treatment by an ophthalmologist or optometrist. The treatment may involve one or both eyes, and it is preferable to apply the fogging layer internally to prevent dust and dirt accumulation and to preserve the aesthetic appearance of the glasses.
The treatment process includes 2–6 physiotherapy sessions, after which the patient undergoes re-examination to ensure eye health and alignment according to the medical prescription, thereby correcting both visual and neck alignment simultaneously.
This innovative method has been granted a Patent and Industrial Design Certificate (Industrial Property Certificate) by the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control, Ministry of Planning.
