Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hasan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science,Assistant Professor Dr. Furat Hamza Al-Sultani, and the Head of the Department of Biochemistry,Professor Dr. Nasser Abdul Hassan Nasser, Assistant Lecturer estabraq Arif Mohammed conducted a vital and important workshop titled "The Art of Survival: A Guide to Thriving in the Laboratory Environment" for second-stage students in the department. The workshop aimed to provide students with the essential skills and comprehensive knowledge for safe interaction with chemical and biological laboratory environments, which form a fundamental part of their future academic and professional careers. The workshop covered several key areas, focusing on: · Fundamentals of Laboratory Safety: Identifying warning symbols and global safety instructions. · Safe Handling of Chemicals: Proper storage methods, identification of hazardous materials, and procedures for dealing with spills. · Proper Use of Laboratory Tools and Equipment: Ensuring the safety of both the student and the samples. This workshop was held in line with the college and department's commitment to promoting a culture of safety and security among students.
