The Department of Optics Technologies Organizes a Scientific Field Trip to Imam Al-Sadiq Hospital

In alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education), the Department of Optics Technologies at the College of Health and Medical Technologies organized a scientific field trip to Imam Al-Sadiq Hospital on 29/10, with the aim of strengthening the connection between theoretical learning and practical application within healthcare institutions. The visit was supervised by: MSC. Samer Hussein Mohammed Ms. Ghufran Sabah Tu'ma Ms. Zahraa Abbas Ali The visit included a field tour of the hospital wards and visual examination units, where students were introduced to modern devices used in diagnosing ocular diseases and learned about the operational mechanisms of advanced ophthalmic medical technologies. The specialized medical staff also provided detailed explanations regarding examination procedures, types of optical lenses, and methods of handling various clinical cases. This visit aimed to enhance students’ skills, deepen their clinical knowledge, and prepare them for the job market through direct exposure to real professional settings. At the end of the visit, the department extended its appreciation to the hospital administration and staff for their cooperation and warm reception.
