Under the slogan "Your Safety... Your Environment's Health," Dr. Karrar Majeed Obeid, a lecturer in the Department of Biochemistry at the College of Science, organized a scientific workshop titled "Safe Handling of Damaged Chemicals and Environmental Protection." The workshop aimed to: · Enhance the culture of safety in chemical laboratories. · Introduce participants to scientific methods for the disposal of chemical waste. · Raise environmental awareness among staff and students. · Prevent potential risks associated with damaged chemicals. Dr. Karrar Majeed Obeid emphasized that "this workshop falls within the framework of our responsibility towards your safety and the safety of our university environment, and we seek through it to establish the principles of green chemistry."
