In alignment with the third Sustainable Development Goal (Good Health and Well-Being), the Department of Optics Technologies organized a scientific seminar titled “How Drugs Influence the Psychology of the User.” The seminar was presented by: Ms. Tamara Nihad Abbas Ms. Haneen Haider Hussein Ms. Reham Abbas Safaa The seminar aimed to shed light on the psychological and behavioral effects of drug substances on users, with a focus on neurological, emotional, and cognitive disturbances associated with addiction. The presenters also discussed key social factors that lead to drug abuse, prevention strategies, and the importance of psychological support in treating addiction. The seminar witnessed distinguished attendance from the department’s students and included an engaging scientific discussion enriched with questions and contributions that helped raise awareness about the dangers of drugs and their profound impact on individuals and society.
