The Department of Medical Instrumentation Engineering Techniques at Mustaqbal University organized an awareness campaign targeting third-year students, titled "Save Your Energy... Save Your Planet," on November 26th. The event was supervised by Dr. Ziyad Taha Yassin, Dr. Osama Jabir Ghaib, and Asst. Lecturer Hiba Hussein. The activity was part of the scientific initiatives aimed at spreading a culture of sustainability and fostering environmental awareness among students by highlighting the importance of rationalizing energy consumption, reducing emissions, and supporting natural resources, considering it a shared responsibility that ensures a safer environmental future for coming generations. The campaign included introductory explanations about energy sources and the impact of overconsumption, in addition to proposing simple, practical measures applicable to daily life both on and off campus to limit waste and promote optimal energy use. The activity also witnessed excellent interaction from students through discussions and contributions that reinforced the values of environmental responsibility and contributed to building advanced awareness regarding the individual's role in protecting the planet. This activity reaffirms the department's commitment to preparing students who possess the scientific and human awareness capable of creating real change and translating knowledge into a tangible impact that contributes to building a conscious, more developed, and sustainable society.
