In alignment with the Fourth Sustainable Development Goal (Quality Education) and the Seventeenth Goal (Partnerships for the Goals), the booth of the Optics Technologies Department received a distinguished visit from the Governor of Babylon, who reviewed the scientific and awareness activities presented by the department in support of the Sustainable Development Goals. The Governor was welcomed by the Head of the Optics Technologies Department, where the meeting included an overview of the key initiatives implemented by the department, including free vision-screening campaigns, awareness programs, and the department’s role in promoting visual and health awareness within the community. The Governor praised the efforts of the faculty and students in preparing the booth, highlighting the scientific explanations and educational models it featured. He emphasized the importance of such activities in supporting applied education and strengthening collaboration between educational institutions and government bodies. The visit concluded with the Governor extending his appreciation to the staff of the Optics Technologies Department for their active participation and valuable contribution to the success of the Sustainability Camp.
