In alignment with the Third Sustainable Development Goal: Good Health and Well-Being, the Department of Optics Technologies has begun distributing awareness booklets prepared by the Head of the Department, Asst. Prof. Dr. Munther Sameen Shaker, along with the teaching staff. These booklets include simplified scientific information on the most common eye diseases, methods of prevention, and the fundamentals of proper eye care. This initiative comes as part of a series of educational programs the department is keen to implement, aiming to strengthen health awareness and enable students to acquire practical knowledge that enhances their academic and field skills. Students expressed their appreciation for the booklets, noting the valuable combination of scientific content and practical guidance, and emphasizing their importance in supporting their learning within the department. The Department of Optics Technologies continues its efforts to provide educational and awareness initiatives that enrich the university environment and elevate students' knowledge.
