Within the series of awareness and extracurricular activities adopted by the Department of Medical Instrumentation Engineering Techniques at Mustaqbal University, fourth-year students organized a field educational campaign titled "Mobile Phone Risks and Their Impact on Health." The campaign aimed to spread health awareness and instill a culture of safe and rational use of modern technology among students and the academic community. The campaign included the preparation and design of simplified scientific brochures that reviewed the most prominent physical and psychological health effects resulting from the excessive use of mobile phones. The key themes covered were: The direct effects of radiation on vital cells and tissues. Structural and muscular problems associated with incorrect usage postures, such as neck and wrist pain. Sleep disorders resulting from blue light and its effect on reducing melatonin secretion. The psychological and behavioral dimension related to excessive phone use, causing addiction and isolation. This initiative was executed under the direct academic supervision of: Assistant Lecturer Hussein Mazin Mohammed Assistant Lecturer Fatima Ihsan Assistant Lecturer Mohammed Abbas The supervisors contributed to guiding the students, reviewing the scientific material, and ensuring the delivery of reliable educational content based on solid research sources. In an official statement, the Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Bayan Mahdi Sabbar, emphasized the importance of these activities in enhancing students' awareness of digital health and developing their spirit of initiative and social responsibility. He praised the efforts made by the students and supervisors and their role in spreading the culture of safe mobile phone use among the members of the university community. This campaign is consistent with the department's vision to support student activities that combine scientific research and practical application, contributing to the development of students' skills and building responsible scientific personalities capable of producing and communicating knowledge in modern and effective ways.
