In alignment with the third Sustainable Development Goal (Good Health and Well-Being), and as part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s efforts to promote health awareness and strengthen community-based prevention values,
Ms. Islam Fadel Mousa
and Ms. Zahraa Abbas Ali
organized an awareness campaign that included distributing an educational brochure titled “Together for a Drug-Free Community” to the university’s students.
The brochure aims to educate students about the dangers of drug abuse and its health, psychological, and social consequences, while highlighting the importance of early prevention and avoiding risky behaviors. It also provides guidance on safe practices that protect both individuals and society from this harmful phenomenon.
Additionally, the brochure contained information about the effects of drugs on the eyes and nervous system, signs of addiction, and ways to seek help—reinforcing the university’s role in fostering a safe and informed educational environment.
This initiative comes as part of a series of awareness activities organized by the university in support of public health and in pursuit of the Sustainable Development Goals.
