In alignment with the third Sustainable Development Goal (Good Health and Well-Being) and the fourth goal (Quality Education), and as part of the department’s ongoing efforts to introduce its roles and enhance visual awareness among new students, the Department of Optics Technologies organized a promotional activity that included providing free vision screenings inside the student registration hall. This initiative aimed to highlight the scientific and practical role of the department in the field of eye care, as well as to familiarize students with the diagnostic services they will be trained on throughout their academic years. The activity witnessed a notable turnout from students eager to undergo the screening and benefit from the visual guidance offered by the department’s staff. This step reflects the department’s commitment to strengthening communication with students, showcasing the importance of the specialization and its role in serving the community, and supporting the academic journey of new students by offering a direct practical experience that mirrors the nature of study within the department.
