In alignment with Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education, the Department of Optics Technologies organized a scientific seminar presented by Ms. Zahraa Abbas Ali entitled “Discretionary Powers in Administration”, as part of academic activities aimed at enhancing administrative knowledge and leadership skills among students and faculty members. The seminar covered several key topics, including the concept of discretionary powers, frameworks for their application within administrative structures, and their impact on decision-making and the effective achievement of organizational goals. Practical examples and methods for responsibly utilizing discretionary powers to support institutional performance were also discussed. This seminar contributed to strengthening the scientific understanding of the attendees and encouraged constructive academic discussions on modern administrative approaches, supporting the development of competencies for both students and teaching staff in the field of administration.
