The Department of Biochemistry at the College of Science, University of [Al-Mustaqbal], organized a scientific field trip for third-year students to the oils laboratory of Al-Ittihad Company on Tuesday, December 9, 2025. This trip aimed to introduce students to the practical and applied aspects of biochemistry and industrial sciences. During the tour, students were acquainted with: · Analytical Processes: How biochemical and analytical techniques are applied to inspect and monitor the quality of raw materials and final oil products. · Quality Control: Specialized laboratory tests to ensure products comply with local and international standard specifications. · Industrial Applications: The use of chemistry in extracting, refining, and producing various oil derivatives. · Work Environment: Gaining an understanding of the nature of tasks that biochemistry specialists can perform in the industrial sector. The trip was supervised by the Head of the Biochemistry Department and several faculty members. This visit represented a valuable opportunity for students to connect the theoretical knowledge acquired in lectures with real-world applications at a leading industrial company, enhancing their understanding of job market requirements in fields related to their specialization.
