Lecturer in the Department of Biochemistry, Assistant Lecturer Istabraq Arif Muhammad, has launched a new awareness campaign under the slogan "Your Smoke Doesn't Harm You Alone." The campaign aims to raise awareness about the dangers of direct and passive smoking and its negative impacts on the individual and those around them within the university community and society at large. The campaign was launched based on the social and scientific responsibility of the Department of Biochemistry, highlighting the chemical and biological damages caused by smoking, as its content is closely linked to the department's academic specialization. The campaign targets both university students and staff, aiming to encourage smoking cessation and promote a healthy lifestyle. Assistant Lecturer Istabraq Arif Muhammad confirmed that "the campaign does not only aim to inform the smoker about the health damages but also to remind them of the impact of their smoke on non-smokers, especially children and those with respiratory diseases, thereby reinforcing the concept of social responsibility."
