Within the framework of enhancing environmental awareness and consolidating the goals of sustainable development—particularly Sustainable Development Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation)—Lecturer Msc Samer Hussein Mohammed delivered an awareness lecture entitled “Water Consumption Rationalization as a Key Entry to Sustainable Development.” This lecture was part of the scientific activities aimed at promoting environmental culture and preserving natural resources.
The lecture addressed the importance of water as an indispensable vital resource in all aspects of life, highlighting the challenges facing water resources as a result of climate change, population growth, and increasing demand. The lecturer also discussed the concept of rationalizing consumption and its effective role in achieving sustainable development and ensuring the continuity of water resources for future generations.
In addition, the lecture presented several practical methods for rationalizing water consumption in daily uses and within institutions, while clarifying the role of individuals and educational institutions in promoting positive behaviors that support environmental sustainability.
This lecture comes as part of a series of awareness activities that seek to support the Sustainable Development Goals and enhance community responsibility toward preserving natural resources—particularly water—thus contributing to building a conscious society capable of facing future environmental challenges.
