In Achievement of Sustainable Development Goals 3 (Good Health and Well-Being) The Department of Optics organized an awareness-raising scientific lecture entitled “Water and Its Role in Life and the Universe,” delivered by Dr. Ghaith Ali Mahmoud, as part of efforts to promote environmental awareness and the rational use of natural resources, particularly water. The lecture highlighted the importance of water as an essential element for life and its vital role in ecological and cosmic systems. It also emphasized the necessity of using water wisely in daily life to avoid waste and preserve resources for future generations. Dr. Ghaith further addressed the effects of water scarcity on the environment and society and stressed the importance of adopting sustainable practices to protect this vital resource. He pointed out the crucial role of education and universities in fostering water awareness among students and the wider community. The lecture witnessed a highly positive response from the attendees, who expressed significant interest in the topic and emphasized the importance of such activities in instilling concepts of sustainability and social responsibility. Al-Mustaqbal University is ranked first among private universities.
