Assistant Lecturer Ms. Estabraq Aref Mohammed in the Department of Life Chemistry at the College of Science organized a distinguished scientific workshop titled "The World of Chemistry: The Wonderful World of Molecules." The workshop aimed to present an engaging and attractive perspective on the science of chemistry by focusing on the complex and fascinating world of molecules, and how these molecules form the foundation of life and the materials around us. The workshop included the following topics: · A simplified introduction to atomic and molecular structure. · An interactive overview of the types of chemical bonds. · Practical applications of how to "see" molecules using modern laboratory techniques. In her speech, Ms. Estabraq Aref Mohammed clarified that "chemistry is not just equations and calculations; rather, it is the art of discovering the language of matter and the molecules that build the universe and manage the details of our daily lives, from breathing and movement to treatment." This activity comes as part of a series of events organized by the Department of Life Chemistry to enhance scientific culture and encourage students to explore the worlds of science with a spirit of creativity and curiosity.
