Chemistry is considered the scientific foundation upon which most modern industries are built. It focuses on studying the composition, properties, reactions, and transformations of matter, which directly influences the development of various chemical industries. Chemical industries rely on chemical principles and theories to transform raw materials into products of economic and practical value that serve human daily needs. Chemistry is closely linked to the pharmaceutical industry, where organic chemistry and analytical chemistry are used to design drug compounds, assess their purity, and ensure their efficacy and safety. Physical chemistry also plays a vital role in understanding reaction mechanisms, degradation rates, and solubility, contributing to the improvement of pharmaceutical formulations. In petrochemical industries, chemistry serves as the cornerstone of refining oil and gas and converting them into fuels, plastics, and synthetic fibers. These industries depend on chemical reactions such as cracking, oxidation, and polymerization to produce materials used in various industrial and consumer sectors. Chemistry is also connected to the food industry, where biochemistry and analytical chemistry are employed to study food components, enhance quality, ensure safety, and extend shelf life. Its importance is further evident in the production of fertilizers and agricultural pesticides, which rely on an understanding of chemical reactions to improve agricultural yield and resource efficiency. The role of chemistry in environmental industries, such as water, air, and waste treatment, cannot be overlooked. It contributes to developing technologies that reduce pollution and preserve the environment. Thus, it is clear that chemistry forms a crucial link between scientific knowledge and industrial application, serving as a key driver of industrial progress and sustainable development. --- University of Al-Mustaqbal Ranks First Among Iraqi Private Universities
