Program Description | Business Administration Department

The Department of Business Administration was established during the Academic Year 2012 – 2013 as per the administrative order No. C / H 6624, issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research on 22nd January 2012. Students are admitted for both morning and evening studies, and the Department accepts junior high school graduates of scientific, literary and commercial branches. The adopted curriculum is the same as the one applied by the business administration departments of the Iraqi government colleges. After four-year study, graduates shall be awarded a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, which qualifies them to work in Public as well as Private Institutions.
The Department Vision mainly concentrates on preparing a generation of specialists in the fields of Administrative Sciences. Such generation of qualified graduates shall be equipped with all required management and leadership skills leading to achievement of excellence.
The Department Mission can be summarized as follows:

1. Achieving excellence and superiority in the fields of University Education for Administrative Sciences.
2. Adopting creative and innovative learning strategies as well as teaching methods that could create appropriate environment for Scientific Research, especially in the field of Administrative Sciences
3. Establishing an effective community partnership that could contribute in achieving a sustainable development in the labor market.
4. Preparing qualified graduates equipped with knowledge & skills, which enable them to effectively use modern technologies and programs in the business environment.

The strategic objectives of Business Administration Department can be summarized as follows:
1. Developing courses for Bachelor's Degree Program according to the requirements of the labor market, developments and scientific knowledge.
2. Improving the quality of academic programs for undergraduate studies in accordance with the strategies of modern teaching approaches.
3. Promoting the academic performance as well as the applied scientific research of faculty members according to quality assurance standards and academic accreditation.
4. Providing students with the required knowledge in the context of total quality management trends
5. Developing an academic environment, which stimulates creativity and scientific production.
6. Adopting appropriate methods that could ensure transformation of students research into productive projects.
