Series and parallel Resistor’s connection

A SERIES CIRCUIT or ‘‘series-connected circuit’’ is a circuit having JUST ONE CURRENT PATH. Thus, Fig.(1) is an example of a ‘‘series circuit’’ in which a battery of constant potential difference V volts, and three resistances, are all connected ‘‘in series’’.

Ohm’s Law

In 1826 George Ohm published a paper, in which his measurements of electricity were summarized in a simple relation between current and voltage, using a constant that we call the resistance of the circuit.

superposition theorem

In a linear network containing more than one source (current or voltage) the resultant current and voltage in any branch is the algebraic sum of currents and voltages that would be produced by each source, acting alone, all the other sources, being replaced meanwhile by their respective internal resistances.
