It is considerable to note that since adopting the Slogan " Towards a Sustainable University", Al-Mustaqbal University has achieved a series of accomplishments related to Sustainable Development Goals, being represented by the University obtaining First Place at International Rankings, including TIMES IMPACT Ranking and GREEN METRIC Ranking, as a normal result of the unique efforts exerted by the University in the Field of Scientific Research, as well as Community Service and other Initiatives regarding Sustainable Development. In accordance with this trend, Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, has announced that the University has joined, for the first time, Green Education Program to confront and combat Climate Crisis as a Partner with the UNESCO. The University President has clarified in a Statement released to the University Media that joining the UNESCO as a Partner in the Program of combating Climate Crisis is deemed indeed a Vital Achievement added to the Series of Accomplishments that the University has attained earlier, and it has come as a Natural Result of the University Efforts over the previous years to introduce the Concepts of Green and Sustainable Education into the University Curricula, keeping in mind that the Academic Vocabulary Percentage focusing on Sustainable Development Goals has reached 33% of the total Academic Program, with Climate Issues constituting the largest part. Besides, Prof Dr. Majdi has emphasized that the University has prepared an Ambitious Plan to increase this percentage in the forthcoming years.
