Under the Guardianship of His Excellency the Prime Minister, Engineer Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, being directly supervised by Dr. Ahmed Fakak Al-Badrani, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, and in the presence of a number of Ministers and Officials, 25th Baghdad International Book Fair was launched on Thursday 12th of September/2024. In his Speech, Dr. Abdul Wahab Al-Radhi, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, has emphasized the vitality of reading and its role in promoting Knowledge and Culture, stressing meanwhile the necessity of keeping on support to all types of Literary Events. There is no doubt that the Opening Ceremony has provided indeed a unique opportunity for interaction between Authors and the Public, and thus contributing in the spread of Literary Awareness and promoting love of reading among Generations. For his part, Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, as attending the Fair Opening Ceremony, has clarified in a Statement released to the Media that Al-Mustaqbal University Pavilion at the Exhibition has witnessed a Notable Turnout by the Public as well as Ministers and Senior State Officials. As a matter of fact, Al-Mustaqbal University Pavilion has been visited by the Prime Minister Representative, Dr. Ahmed Fakak Al-Badrani, Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, in addition to Ministers of Education, Sports and Youth, as well as Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Dr. Abdul-Wahab Al-Radhi, who has highly appreciated the Prestigious Position occupied by Al-Mustaqbal University in all forums at both Local and International Levels all along with its Distinguished Role in supporting Scientific and Cultural Movement in Iraq through its ongoing Participation in the various Activities, including Exhibitions. Finally, it should be noted however that the Activities of the 25th Baghdad International Book Fair shall proceed until 22nd September 2024.
