Al-Mustaqbal University has recorded a new academic achievement that strengthens its advanced position in higher education, after ranking first among private Iraqi universities and third among all Iraqi universities, according to the results of the global Webometrics ranking, which included 128 public and private universities in Iraq.
At the international level, the University achieved a remarkable qualitative leap in its global ranking, advancing from 3224th to 1967th place worldwide, gaining 1257 positions in a single ranking cycle. This progress reflects the rapid development of the University’s academic, research, and digital performance, as well as its growing presence in the global academic arena.
This achievement is attributed to the integrated institutional efforts exerted by the University in supporting high-quality scientific research, enhancing academic publishing in internationally recognized databases, in addition to developing its digital infrastructure and improving the performance of its websites and electronic platforms in line with Webometrics criteria.
In this context, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, stated that this achievement is the result of teamwork and the spirit of collective effort adopted by the University, praising the outstanding efforts of the academic and administrative staff. He emphasized that this progress serves as a strong incentive to continue excellence and to attain more advanced positions in both local and international rankings.
Dr. Majdi also noted that the University is proceeding with the implementation of its strategic plans aimed at enhancing the quality of education, developing high-quality scientific research, increasing international publication rates, and improving digital performance, thereby contributing to better ranking indicators and achieving sustainable academic accomplishments that reinforce the University’s regional and international standing.
