Director of Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications at Al-Mustaqbal University Discusses Final Preparations for the Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation Forum

The Director of Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications at Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Nidhal Al-Abadi, discussed the final preparations for the Artificial Intelligence and Digital Transformation Forum, which will be held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi. The meeting was attended by Dr. Ferial Ibrahim Al-Zhafiri and Assistant Lecturer Noor Thamer Mahmoud. During the meeting, the organizational and scientific aspects of the forum were reviewed, as well as the mechanisms for ensuring the success of its activities in supporting digital transformation pathways and enhancing artificial intelligence applications in academic institutions, in line with the Ministry’s vision to develop higher education and keep pace with modern technological advancements. Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications Holds the Scientific Committee Meeting of the Arab Artificial Intelligence Forum

The Scientific Committee of the Arab Artificial Intelligence Forum (MUCE_IQ) held its meeting under the chairmanship of Dr. Mudhafar Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific Supervision, with the participation of the committee members, and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Nidal Khudair Al-Abbadi, Director of the Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications, and Dr. Silwan Obaid Waheed, Director of the Energy Research Center. During the meeting, scientific and organizational preparations for holding the Arab Artificial Intelligence Forum were discussed. The forum is organized by Al-Mustaqbal University in cooperation with the Union of Arab Scientific Research Councils, and under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi. The forum’s themes and scientific objectives were also reviewed, aiming to enhance scientific research, expand academic cooperation, and exchange expertise in the fields of artificial intelligence and digital transformation, in line with modern technological developments. In this context, Al-Mustaqbal University invited researchers, academics, and interested participants from inside and outside Iraq to take part in the Arab Artificial Intelligence Forum, which will be held at Al-Mustaqbal University from January 25–26, 2026, to serve as a distinguished Arab scientific platform for exchanging ideas and expertise, and highlighting the latest research and applications in the field of artificial intelligence. The attendees emphasized the importance of ensuring the success of this forum due to its significant scientific and research value, which contributes to supporting higher education and scientific research and enhances the position of Arab universities in modern technological fields. Engineer Ahmed Salim Mongar has received a Letter of Appreciation and Gratitude from the Library of the Holy Abbasid Shrine, in recognition of his scientific and cultural initiative represented by donating his scientific book entitled: “Investigation of a Smart Infant Incubator with Multi-Sensor Control System.” This donation is considered a valuable addition to the library’s scientific collection, as the book includes specialized research in the field of smart technologies and multi-sensor systems, particularly in medical applications related to smart infant incubators. The Library of the Holy Abbasid Shrine expressed its sincere thanks and pride in this distinguished scientific contribution, affirming its continuous commitment to supporting researchers and authors and to enhancing high-quality scientific content in a manner that serves knowledge advancement and scientific research. The visit included a guided tour inside the center, conducted by Dr. Feryal Al-Dhafiri, during which the students were introduced to the main laboratories, equipment, and software used in developing artificial intelligence applications, as well as the center’s key scientific and research activities. The trip also featured a scientific lecture entitled “Introduction to Artificial Intelligence”, delivered by Engineer Hasnain Taha, who discussed the fundamental concepts of artificial intelligence, its practical applications, and its role across various sectors, followed by an interactive discussion with the students.
