Al-Mustaqbal University Colleges Sign MoUs with Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University to Enhance International Academic Collaboration

In a strategic move to bolster international academic cooperation and the internationalization of higher education, colleges of Al-Mustaqbal University have signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with their counterparts at Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University in Turkey. The signing ceremony took place on the sidelines of the Second International Conference on Sustainable Development Techniques. The event witnessed the presence of high-ranking officials, including Prof. Dr. Adnan Al-Jumaili, Administrative Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Mayser Al-Abadi, Iraq’s Cultural Attaché in Ankara, and university presidents: Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi of Al-Mustaqbal University, the President of Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University, Prof. Dr. Aliaa Al-Attar of Northern Technical University, and Dr. Bashar Mahmoud Ali, Chairman of Al-Noor University. The agreements encompass faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Engineering, Education, Sciences, Health and Medical Technologies, Administrative Sciences, Physical Education and Sports Sciences, and Arts. Additionally, a specific MoU was signed between the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University and the Department of Sustainability and Energy Management at Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University, focusing on renewable energy and environmental sustainability. Prof. Dr. Adnan Al-Jumaili praised this achievement, highlighting Al-Mustaqbal University's ambitious initiatives in engaging with international institutions, aligning with the vision of Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, for advancing the internationalization of higher education in Iraq. Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi expressed his gratitude to the Ministry for its support, emphasizing the university's commitment to activating the MoUs' provisions, which include joint scientific research, organizing conferences and workshops, academic publishing, faculty exchange, student training, capacity building, and curriculum development. Prof. Dr. Kenan Ahmed, President of Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University, expressed pride in collaborating with Al-Mustaqbal University, commending its esteemed reputation and promising initiatives, and looking forward to fruitful outcomes from this partnership. It is noteworthy that the signing ceremony was held during the Second International Conference on Sustainable Development Techniques, jointly organized by Northern Technical University and Al-Mustaqbal University, and hosted by Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University in Turkey. Participation of the Director of the Artificial Intelligence Center in the First Forum for Administrative Training and Development

Prof. Dr. Nidhal Khdhair Al-Abbadi, Director of the Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications at Al-Mustaqbal University, participated in the First Forum for Administrative Training and Development in the Digital Age, organized by the National Center for Administrative Development and Information Technology at the Ministry of Planning, in cooperation with Bayt Al-Hikma Training and Consulting Company, under the slogan: “Training and Development Quality: A Key to Leadership in Innovation and Digital Transformation.” The forum discussed strategies to enhance national training systems, develop adaptive administrative frameworks, and highlight artificial intelligence as a driver of institutional progress. Prof. Al-Abbadi emphasized the importance of supporting research centers and strengthening cooperation between academic and government institutions to keep pace with the demands of the digital era. A Scientific Visit by Students from the University of Al-Qadisiyah / Department of Medical Systems to Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications

Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications at Al-Mustaqbal University welcomed a student delegation from the Department of Medical Systems at the University of Al-Qadisiyah, accompanied by the Head of the Department, as part of a scientific visit aimed at exploring the center’s most advanced AI projects and innovations. The visit included a comprehensive tour of the center’s facilities, during which the staff provided detailed explanations of various intelligent projects, especially those related to robotics and smart medical applications. The students interacted with the displayed robots, learned about their functions, and captured commemorative photos in an inspiring academic atmosphere. ide Media Attention to Al-Mustaqbal 4th Media Dialogue Forum on AI and Media

The Fourth Media Dialogue Forum, held as part of the Third International Week of Sustainability at Al-Mustaqbal University, received wide media coverage and attention from various news agencies and media platforms due to the significance of the topics addressed and the distinguished participants. Organized under the theme: "Artificial Intelligence and its Applications in Media: A Partnership for Smart Media Creation", the forum witnessed the participation of prominent media figures and academics from Iraq and abroad, in addition to media professors from public and private universities and research centers. The event was marked by the presence of high-level officials, including the Administrative Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Deputy Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities, the President of the Union of Iraqi Writers and Authors, the President of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate, and the Director of the Union Center for Media Training. The event was also attended by the Director of the Al-Mustaqbal Center for AI Applications and the center’s team, as part of the center’s engagement in scientific and media events related to artificial intelligence technologies. A total of 31 research papers were presented and discussed across three academic sessions, covering nine main themes, including: AI in media content creation, newsroom applications, visual rhetoric, media research methodology, and the psychology of artificial intelligence. "Humanizing Cities" at the Core of Sustainable Urban Planning: A Panel Discussion at Al-Mustaqbal University Focuses on the Relationship Between People and Identity

On the fifth day of the 3rd International Future Week for Sustainability 2025, Al-Mustaqbal University hosted a distinguished panel discussion titled: "Cities Between People and Identity – Towards Sustainable Urban Planning", gathering a select group of academics and experts in architecture and urban planning. The session, moderated by Umayma Kazem Al-Tai, an expert in sustainable urban design, focused on the concept of "Humanizing Cities", which connects urban spaces to human dignity and emphasizes the importance of urban planning based on human needs and cultural identity. The session was opened with an insightful presentation by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdel Ali Rashid, an expert in sustainable architecture and Iraq’s representative at Green Metrics, who advocated for linking urban design with daily life details. He stressed that "cities should be built for people, not at their expense," emphasizing the need for balanced urban planning that respects both human dignity and the environment. Meanwhile, Dr. Venus Suleiman Akef, an architect and recipient of the Tamayouz Excellence Award, discussed how to transform cultural identity and architectural heritage into foundations for future cities. She shared her international experiences, particularly her participation in global forums like the UN General Assembly, where she advocated for enhancing the interaction between society and urban spaces. Dr. Samaan Majid B. Yass, Head of the Department of Architecture at University of Diyala, presented a comprehensive view on the role of sustainable tourism in reviving historic centers, describing it as an effective tool for connecting people to the memory of place through sensory experiences and direct engagement with the architectural environment. The session was marked by diverse perspectives and deep discussions, providing a platform for rethinking the relationship between people and their cities, ensuring a balance between urban development and the preservation of cultural and environmental identity. The session was attended by the Director and team of the Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications at Al-Mustaqbal University, highlighting the intersection of artificial intelligence and urban planning, and the growing role of smart technologies in supporting sustainable cities and enhancing quality of life. This session is part of the Future Week for Sustainability festival organized by Al-Mustaqbal University, which sheds light on critical issues in urban sustainability, education, energy, climate action, and institutional partnerships, contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
