In a strategic move to bolster international academic cooperation and the internationalization of higher education, colleges of Al-Mustaqbal University have signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with their counterparts at Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University in Turkey. The signing ceremony took place on the sidelines of the Second International Conference on Sustainable Development Techniques.
The event witnessed the presence of high-ranking officials, including Prof. Dr. Adnan Al-Jumaili, Administrative Deputy Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Mayser Al-Abadi, Iraq’s Cultural Attaché in Ankara, and university presidents: Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi of Al-Mustaqbal University, the President of Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University, Prof. Dr. Aliaa Al-Attar of Northern Technical University, and Dr. Bashar Mahmoud Ali, Chairman of Al-Noor University.
The agreements encompass faculties of Medicine, Dentistry, Engineering, Education, Sciences, Health and Medical Technologies, Administrative Sciences, Physical Education and Sports Sciences, and Arts. Additionally, a specific MoU was signed between the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies at Al-Mustaqbal University and the Department of Sustainability and Energy Management at Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University, focusing on renewable energy and environmental sustainability.
Prof. Dr. Adnan Al-Jumaili praised this achievement, highlighting Al-Mustaqbal University's ambitious initiatives in engaging with international institutions, aligning with the vision of Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, for advancing the internationalization of higher education in Iraq.
Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi expressed his gratitude to the Ministry for its support, emphasizing the university's commitment to activating the MoUs' provisions, which include joint scientific research, organizing conferences and workshops, academic publishing, faculty exchange, student training, capacity building, and curriculum development.
Prof. Dr. Kenan Ahmed, President of Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University, expressed pride in collaborating with Al-Mustaqbal University, commending its esteemed reputation and promising initiatives, and looking forward to fruitful outcomes from this partnership.
It is noteworthy that the signing ceremony was held during the Second International Conference on Sustainable Development Techniques, jointly organized by Northern Technical University and Al-Mustaqbal University, and hosted by Alanya Alaaddin Keykubat University in Turkey.
