President of Al-Mustaqbal University Honors Faculty and Students for Their Significant Contribution to the Success of the "Al-Mustaqbal Sustainability Week 2025" Festival

In recognition of the efforts of its faculty and students, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, honored a group of faculty and students who played a key role in the success of the 3rd International "Al-Mustaqbal Sustainability Week" Festival, held from April 16 to 24, 2025. During a special ceremony held at the university, the President distributed certificates of appreciation to the participants, praising the exceptional efforts that contributed to presenting a distinguished version of the festival. He commended the collective spirit and sense of belonging displayed by the participants, which made the event a significant milestone for the university. In his speech, the President emphasized that the success of the festival was the result of teamwork and fruitful collaboration. The President noted that this success marks the beginning of even more future achievements, with the university preparing for additional academic and scientific events, as well as the upcoming final exams. He urged everyone to continue their work with determination and commitment. At the end of the ceremony, students and staff expressed their gratitude for the recognition, reaffirming their commitment to supporting the university’s journey towards leadership and excellence. Medical Tents at Al-Mustaqbal University Offer Comprehensive Health Services as Part of the Third International Week for Sustainability

As part of the Third International Week for Sustainability, Al-Mustaqbal University organized a comprehensive health initiative through the establishment of specialized medical tents, with active participation from the Colleges of General Medicine, Dentistry, Nursing, and Health & Medical Technologies. The initiative provided a wide range of free medical examinations and services to students, visitors, and external guests. The services offered included: Comprehensive lab tests (blood sugar, blood pressure, oxygen saturation). Vision screening and diagnosis of eyesight problems. Weight and height measurements with Body Mass Index (BMI) calculation to assess obesity levels. Teeth cleaning and oral hygiene guidance under the supervision of the College of Dentistry staff. Instant medical and nursing consultations. Health awareness programs focused on prevention and early detection. This initiative aligns with the university’s efforts to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3): ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all at all ages. It aims to raise health awareness, promote early detection practices, and encourage a healthy lifestyle within the university environment. The medical tents witnessed a high turnout and positive engagement, reflecting the university community’s strong interest in such high-impact health services. Participants expressed great satisfaction with the quality and organization of the event and emphasized the importance of continuing such initiatives. During the event, the staff of Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications at Al-Mustaqbal University paid a visit to the medical tents. On Saturday, April 19, 2025, the third day of the 3rd Al-Mustaqbal International Sustainability Festival witnessed a series of outstanding sports performances presented by the students and faculty of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and in the presence of distinguished guests and academic figures. The events featured a range of dynamic activities that showcased the athletic talents of the students, including: Fencing Matches 🏅: Demonstrating high-level skill and precision. Taekwondo Shows 🥋: Exhibiting power, agility, and coordination. Body Language Performance by Deaf and Mute Students 🤟: Artistic displays promoting inclusion and creativity in sports. Equestrian Demonstrations 🐎: Skillful performances by the university’s equestrian team. Asst. Prof. Dr. Sanaa Abdul Ameer, Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, emphasized that these activities support the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal 3 (SDG 3): Good Health and Well-being, highlighting the vital role of physical activity in enhancing students’ academic focus and overall well-being, under the motto “A sound mind in a sound body.” The events were also attended by the staff of the Al-Mustaqbal Center for AI Applications, who expressed their admiration for the high-quality performances and the spirit of inclusion demonstrated throughout.
