Al-Mustaqbal University Organizes a Scientific Workshop on the Future of Artificial Intelligence in Collaboration with the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies and Al-Khansa'a Girls' Preparatory School

Following the directives of the esteemed University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, a scientific workshop titled " Al-Mustaqbal of Artificial Intelligence" was held at the Future Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications at Al-Mustaqbal University. The event was organized in collaboration with the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies/Department of Life Sciences, and Al-Khansa'a Girls' Preparatory School. The workshop was led by Engineer Mohammed Saad Aabis and Programmer Sara Saadoun Abbas, and aimed to foster collaboration between the center and various educational institutions, with a focus on the role of artificial intelligence in advancing technology and medical engineering. The workshop discussed the alignment of artificial intelligence with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in the fields of health, education, and innovation. The discussion highlighted how AI can contribute to achieving Goal 3: "Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages," through its applications in healthcare and medical treatments. It also explored Goal 4: "Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all," by focusing on how AI can enhance educational experiences. Additionally, Goal 9: "Build resilient infrastructure, promote inclusive and sustainable industrialization, and foster innovation," was addressed by showing the role of AI in industrial innovation and sustainable progress across various sectors.

Al-Mustaqbal University Organizes a Scientific Workshop on Electronics and Renewable Energy in Collaboration with the College of Engineering and Al-Mazaya Private School

Under the direction of the esteemed University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, a scientific workshop titled "Electronics and Energy Sources" was organized at the Future Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications at Future University. The event was held in collaboration with the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies and Al-Mazaya Private Mixed School. The workshop was led by Engineer Mohammed Saad Aabis and Programmer Sara Saadoun Abbas, and aimed to foster collaboration between the center and various educational institutions, while emphasizing the role of modern technologies in electronics and energy. The workshop featured discussions on renewable energy sources and their significance in achieving sustainable development. It focused on innovative solutions for generating energy from natural resources, such as solar and wind power, and highlighted the importance of integrating these technologies into the future of engineering to promote a more sustainable and eco-friendly world. This workshop aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically Goal 7, which aims to "Ensure access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all," and Goal 13, which calls for "Urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts." Through such initiatives, Future University strives to raise student awareness about the importance of clean energy and advanced technologies in protecting the environment and ensuring the sustainability of resources for future generations.

Artificial Intelligence Applications Workshop Highlights Sustainable Development at Al-Mustaqbal University

On Monday, February 19, 2024, a prominent workshop titled "Artificial Intelligence Applications" was held in the Artificial Intelligence Center hall at Al-Mustaqbal University, attended by a distinguished group of experts in the field of artificial intelligence and sustainable development. The workshop was opened with a welcoming speech by Dr. Musadaq Maher, the session moderator, who provided an overview of the goals and challenges associated with integrating technology into sustainable development. This was followed by a presentation of the professional biographies of the speakers, Dr. Mohammed Al-Obaidi from Taylor University in Malaysia, and Dr. Ahmed Al-Muhanna from Al-Mustaqbal University, who shared their expertise and perspectives on the critical role of artificial intelligence in various aspects of development. During the workshop, attendees had the opportunity to engage in an extensive discussion on different aspects of the role of technological incubators in supporting sustainable development goals, leading to a valuable exchange of ideas and experiences among participants. At the conclusion of the workshop, Professor Dr. Nidal Khudair Al-Abadi, the head of the Artificial Intelligence Center at Al-Mustaqbal University, presented appreciation certificates to the speakers in recognition of their valuable contributions to enriching the discussion and promoting awareness of the importance of artificial intelligence in achieving sustainable development. This workshop represents an important step towards enhancing dialogue and cooperation among experts and enthusiasts in the field of artificial intelligence and sustainable development, highlighting the opportunities and challenges associated with the applications of this technology in various sectors.

Al-Mustaqbal University Hosts a Panel Discussion on Digital Transformation in Higher Education and Artificial Intelligence

On Monday, February 19, 2024, the Artificial Intelligence Center Hall at Al-Mustaqbal University was the venue for a significant panel discussion titled "Digital Transformation in Higher Education and Artificial Intelligence." The session opened with a welcoming speech by Professor Dr. Nidhal Al-Abbadi, the Director of the Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications, who introduced the professional profiles of the distinguished speakers in this field, Professor Dr. Tahseen Al-Sheikhly, the Director of the Center for Future Research Studies in London, and Associate Professor Dr. Mohammad Al-Obaidi from Taylor University in Malaysia. Throughout the session, the keynote speakers addressed vital topics related to integrating technology in sustainable development and the challenges and opportunities associated with digital transformation in higher education. The session also provided an opportunity for attendees to engage in deep discussions on the role of technological incubators in achieving sustainable development goals. At the end of the event, Professor Dr. Nidhal Al-Abbadi, the center's director, and Professor Dr. Abdulkarim Abdulrahman, the Head of the Computer Engineering Technologies Department at Al-Mutaqbal University, distributed appreciation certificates to the speakers, honoring their valuable efforts and effective contributions in enriching the panel discussion.

Towards Green Universities: Strategies for Green Education and Sustainability in Higher Education

Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Na'im Al-Aboudi, and the direct supervision of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, a workshop titled "Green Education and the Sustainable University" was held in the AI Center hall at Al-Mustaqbal University on Sunday, February 18, 2024. The workshop brought together experts and specialists from Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University, where they discussed the importance of integrating education in the field of sustainable development and how green education can contribute to achieving sustainable development goals. Several presentations were delivered, covering practical examples and applications on the ground, in addition to the mechanisms required for implementing green education in Iraqi universities. The workshop, which was held on the margins of the Sustainable Development Week, added a special flavor to the discussions and dialogue exchange, and concluded with the distribution of certificates of appreciation to the speakers in recognition of their valuable contributions.
