Al-Mustaqbal University Concludes Sustainability Week 2026 and Honors the Quality Assurance Department

Al-Mustaqbal University concluded its 4th International Sustainability Week 2026 in the presence of the University President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, with wide participation from staff, students, and partners. The week featured diverse scientific and cultural activities, along with innovative student projects reflecting sustainability goals. The Quality Assurance and University Performance Department played an active role in documenting activities and preparing qualitative reports in line with recognized standards. During the closing ceremony, several colleges and staff were honored, including the Quality Assurance Department, in recognition of its outstanding contribution to the success of the event.

Director of Quality Assurance at Al-Mustaqbal University Joins Institutional Accreditation Evaluation Team for Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University

Dr. Riyadh Hamid Salman, Director of the Quality Assurance and Academic Performance at Al-Mustaqbal University, participated as a member of the national evaluation team in the assessment visit to Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University to complete institutional accreditation requirements under the supervision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The five-day visit included evaluating academic and administrative aspects, infrastructure, quality assurance practices, and performance indicators, as well as holding meetings with university leadership to assess institutional readiness. This participation reflects ongoing efforts to promote a culture of quality and accreditation and to advance higher education in Iraq.

The Internal Audit Committee of the Department of University Quality Assurance and Performance convened a dedicated meeting

The Internal Audit Committee of the Department of University Quality Assurance and Performance convened a dedicated meeting on program accreditation for the College of Science / Department of Medical Physics on 4/5, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance educational quality and fulfill academic accreditation requirements. During the meeting, the committee reviewed and discussed the key components of program accreditation, including the evaluation of course specifications, assessment of learning outcomes, and their alignment with nationally and internationally recognized standards. In addition, the committee examined progress on continuous improvement plans. The committee also emphasized the importance of completing the documentation of supporting evidence and substantiating materials, as well as enhancing both academic and administrative performance to ensure the quality of the academic program and the sustainability of its development. The meeting concluded with a set of recommendations aimed at strengthening the department’s readiness to obtain program accreditation, with an emphasis on monitoring their implementation according to a defined timeline.

Internal Audit Enhances the College of Law’s Readiness for Programmatic Accreditation

The Internal Audit Team at the Quality Assurance and Academic Performance Department conducted a comprehensive internal audit at the College of Law, as part of intensive institutional efforts to enhance the College’s readiness for the upcoming visit of the National Evaluation Team and to confidently progress toward obtaining programmatic accreditation from the National Council. The audit focused on assessing compliance with approved academic standards, identifying improvement opportunities, and providing development-oriented recommendations aligned with international best practices, thereby supporting sustainable educational quality and strengthening the program’s academic competitiveness.

A Central Workshop to Strengthen Institutional Accreditation

The Quality Assurance and Academic Performance Department organized a central workshop with the participation of Quality Assurance Directors and members of institutional accreditation committees from the university presidency and various colleges. The event was held in the Student Activities Hall at the Medical Building. The workshop aimed to discuss the requirements of institutional accreditation, review operational mechanisms, and enhance coordination among the relevant committees, in a way that supports achieving accreditation standards more efficiently and effectively.

Al-Mustaqbal University Reviews Institutional Performance and Prepares for Sustainability Week 2026

Under the guidance of the University President, Prof. Hassan Shaker Majdi, the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Prof. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, chaired an expanded meeting that brought together heads of relevant departments and units, including the Quality Assurance Department, to review institutional performance and enhance integration across the university. During the meeting, Prof. Al-Zuhairi emphasized the importance of teamwork and developing performance through innovative initiatives. He highlighted the role of the Quality Assurance Department in strengthening performance standards, documenting activities, and supporting the implementation of quality and academic accreditation requirements, in addition to building staff capacity in automation and information technology. The meeting also addressed preparations for the fourth edition of “Future Sustainability Week 2026,” scheduled for mid-April, stressing the importance of well-organized participation to ensure the success of the event. The meeting concluded with an emphasis on commitment and exerting maximum efforts to achieve the highest levels of performance, further reinforcing the university’s reputation and accomplishments.

Quality Assurance Department Participates in World Water Day 2026 Workshop at Al-Mustaqbal University

The Quality Assurance and University Performance Department participated in the virtual workshop organized by Al-Mustaqbal University on the occasion of World Water Day 2026, titled: “The Role of Women in Achieving Sustainable Water Resources”, under the patronage of the University President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi. The workshop addressed the importance of rationalizing water consumption and تعزيز the role of scientific research in tackling water-related challenges, while emphasizing women’s empowerment as a key partner in achieving sustainability. This participation reflects the Department’s ongoing efforts to support sustainability initiatives and enhance institutional performance quality in alignment with international standards.

Quality Assurance Department Participates in an Expanded Seminar to Review Digital Transformation and Program Accreditation Requirements

The Quality Assurance and University Performance Department participated in the expanded seminar chaired by the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, with the attendance of the university’s senior leadership, faculty members, and staff. The seminar focused on reviewing institutional performance and discussing the requirements of digital transformation as well as the development of academic and administrative work mechanisms. During the seminar, Dr. Riyadh Hamed Salman, Director of the Quality Assurance and Academic Performance , delivered a presentation highlighting key quality assurance requirements and program accreditation standards, in addition to discussing mechanisms for enhancing institutional performance and the importance of automating academic and administrative procedures in line with digital transformation in higher education. The seminar forms part of the university’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the implementation of quality standards and to advance the institutional work environment in accordance with academic accreditation requirements and best practices in higher education.
