Quality Assurance Department Participates in World Water Day 2026 Workshop at Al-Mustaqbal University

The Quality Assurance and University Performance Department participated in the virtual workshop organized by Al-Mustaqbal University on the occasion of World Water Day 2026, titled: “The Role of Women in Achieving Sustainable Water Resources”, under the patronage of the University President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi. The workshop addressed the importance of rationalizing water consumption and تعزيز the role of scientific research in tackling water-related challenges, while emphasizing women’s empowerment as a key partner in achieving sustainability. This participation reflects the Department’s ongoing efforts to support sustainability initiatives and enhance institutional performance quality in alignment with international standards.

Quality Assurance Department Participates in an Expanded Seminar to Review Digital Transformation and Program Accreditation Requirements

The Quality Assurance and University Performance Department participated in the expanded seminar chaired by the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, with the attendance of the university’s senior leadership, faculty members, and staff. The seminar focused on reviewing institutional performance and discussing the requirements of digital transformation as well as the development of academic and administrative work mechanisms. During the seminar, Dr. Riyadh Hamed Salman, Director of the Quality Assurance and Academic Performance , delivered a presentation highlighting key quality assurance requirements and program accreditation standards, in addition to discussing mechanisms for enhancing institutional performance and the importance of automating academic and administrative procedures in line with digital transformation in higher education. The seminar forms part of the university’s ongoing efforts to strengthen the implementation of quality standards and to advance the institutional work environment in accordance with academic accreditation requirements and best practices in higher education.

Al-Mustaqbal University Holds an Expanded Meeting Chaired by the University President to Discuss Digital Transformation and Academic Accreditation Requirements

Al-Mustaqbal University organized an expanded meeting chaired by the President of the University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, with the attendance of senior leadership, faculty members, and administrative staff from various university formations. The meeting aimed to discuss ways to enhance institutional performance and develop academic and administrative work mechanisms. The meeting reviewed several important issues related to the development of academic and administrative operations, particularly the requirements of digital transformation and the automation of university procedures, in addition to following up on the implementation of quality standards and program accreditation requirements across academic programs, in a manner that enhances the efficiency of academic and administrative performance. This meeting comes as part of a series of periodic meetings organized by the university to monitor the implementation of institutional development plans and strengthen the application of quality assurance and academic accreditation standards, thereby supporting institutional excellence and advancing the quality of higher education.

Al-Mustaqbal University Tops Iraqi Private Universities in the 2026 SCImago Ranking

Al-Mustaqbal University achieved a notable academic milestone by ranking first among Iraqi private universities and sixth out of 76 public and private Iraqi universities in the SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR) 2026. This achievement reflects the university’s continuous progress in academic and research performance, as well as the effectiveness of its quality policies and growing scientific output, further strengthening its position within the global higher education landscape.

President of Al-Mustaqbal University Chairs Meetings to Review Academic Performance and Enhance Quality Requirements

The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, chaired a series of meetings with the university’s colleges, attended by the vice presidents, deans, the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, and relevant department directors, to review the academic and scientific performance across the colleges. The meetings included a review of the colleges’ achievements and progress in implementing development plans, with emphasis on completing the requirements for programmatic and institutional accreditation, as well as strengthening scientific research and publishing in reputable journals to support the university’s presence in international academic rankings. The discussions also addressed activating scientific cooperation agreements and the ongoing preparations for the Future Sustainability Week, scheduled to be held in mid-April, in addition to emphasizing the development of college websites and implementing specialized training programs in digital transformation to support institutional development and enhance the quality of educational outcomes

Director of Quality Assurance at Al-Mustaqbal University Participates as National Evaluator in Program Accreditation Review

Dr. Riyadh Hamid, Director of the Quality Assurance at Al-Mustaqbal University, participated as a national evaluator within the review team of the National Council for the Accreditation of Educational Colleges Programs in the evaluation of program accreditation files for the Department of Mathematics at the College of Education Ibn Al-Haitham. This participation comes within the framework of supporting academic quality pathways and strengthening the culture of programmatic and institutional accreditation in higher education, contributing to the advancement of academic program quality and the improvement of higher education outcomes

Al-Mustaqbal University Tops Iraqi Private Universities and Achieves Leading Positions in Specialized Fields in the SCImago Institutions Rankings 2026

Al-Mustaqbal University achieved first place among private universities in Iraq and ranked sixth out of 76 Iraqi public and private universities in the SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR) 2026 edition, marking a significant accomplishment that reflects the University’s advancing academic and research performance. The University also secured first place in Mechanical Engineering and Construction and Building Engineering, and ranked second in Business Administration and Accounting. The University President affirmed that this achievement is the result of sustained institutional support for scientific research and continued efforts to strengthen the University’s standing in international rankings.

In a bid to enhance academic quality, the Institutional Accreditation Team visits the College of Engineering Technologies to audit quality standards.

The Institutional Accreditation Team at Mustakbal University visited the College of Engineering Technologies to ensure the college meets national accreditation requirements and standards. During the visit, the Dean emphasized the college's commitment to implementing standards that guarantee the graduation of qualified technical engineers who meet the demands of the job market and provide a practical learning environment. The auditing team also affirmed the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department's commitment to continuous on-site monitoring and strengthening integration between the Institutional Accreditation Unit and the colleges.
