Al-MUSTAQBAL University Celebrates International Women’s Day by Honoring Outstanding Women and Highlighting Their Role in Society
The Women’s Affairs Division al-mustaqbal University, in collaboration with the College of Fine Arts and the Student Activities Center, organized a special celebration on the occasion of International Women’s Day. The event was attended by the scientific and academic supervisor, Professor Dr. Mudhaffar Al-Zuhairi.
The event highlighted the pioneering role of women in building society and advancing development and progress in various scientific and professional fields. The celebration included several distinguished segments, including a recitation from the Holy Quran by student Zainab Al-Anbari, and a speech from the President of Future University, delivered by Professor Dr. Sahira Qahtan Abdul-Jabbar, Head of the Women’s Affairs Division at the university.
The event also featured a poem about Iraqi women and the patient, steadfast mother of martyrs, as well as a theatrical performance titled “Willpower”, which addressed the themes of challenge and resilience in the face of drug addiction. Additionally, a success story was shared by a student who had overcome significant life challenges.
The celebration was attended by several prominent figures, including the Head of the Women’s Affairs Division at the Babylon Agriculture Directorate, the Vice President of the Iraqi and International Creators’ Union in Babylon, and an educational supervisor from the Directorate of Education in the province.
At the conclusion of the event, a group of distinguished women from the Women’s Affairs Division, along with several staff members and faculty members, were honored with shields and certificates of appreciation in recognition of their outstanding contributions and efforts.
