Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the Women’s Affairs Division, in cooperation with the College of Agricultural Technologies, organized a workshop entitled “Water is Life… Let Us Preserve It.” The workshop was supervised by Asst. Lecturer M.M. Mari Imran Mahdi, Head of the Women’s Affairs Division, and presented by Asst. Lecturer M.M. Suroor Hafidh Mohammed from the College of Agricultural Technologies. It was held on Saturday, January 3, 2026. The workshop aimed to raise awareness about the importance of water and to highlight simple and effective ways to conserve every drop, as every drop makes a difference. It also emphasized the pivotal role of women and families in promoting a culture of rational water consumption, as they are directly responsible for managing household resources—starting from changing daily usage habits to monitoring maintenance, repairing leaks, and adopting water-saving technologies to ensure sustainability. Enhancing community awareness of the risks of water scarcity and climate change, as well as introducing optimal water-use practices, is a fundamental element in preserving water and environmental security and in building an informed society capable of facing the challenges of diminishing water resources. This activity was implemented in accordance with the Third National Action Plan for Women, Peace, and Security / Prevention and Protection Pillar, and in support of the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) and Goal 13 (Climate Action). Al-Mustaqbal University ranks first among private universities in national classifications.
