In turn, Mr. President of the University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdi, expressed his gratitude to the Minister for this gesture, which will serve as an incentive to further endeavors, affirming the commitment to advance the university's vision, mission, and goals, always striving to be at the forefront through the enthusiasm of its members and students, and practically embodying the motto declared "Towards a Sustainable University" by adopting several promising initiatives in various fields. It's worth mentioning that Al Mustaqbal University had organized the Future Sustainability Week Festival from February 17 to 22, 2024, under the theme "Climate Change and the Future of Generations," under the auspices of Dr. Naeem Al-Abboudi, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with broad local and international participation from universities, companies, civil society organizations, and official and popular attendance. This event was the largest qualitative event in the field of sustainable development in Iraq, shedding light on the most significant challenges facing the world in general and Iraq in particular, represented by climate change, through a series of activities including a Green Education Conference, numerous scientific product exhibitions, patents, and dialogue sessions, as well as the inauguration of several important projects and research centers during the festival.
