Al-Mustaqbal University Conducts Training Course Exam for Website Coordinators

Al-Mustaqbal University held the final examination for the intensive training course dedicated to Website Coordinators from various colleges and departments across the university. The exam took place on Saturday, March 28, 2026, within the Medical Building on the main campus. This training program aimed to equip participants with the essential skills and technical knowledge required to manage and update official university websites efficiently. The initiative aligns with modern technical and security standards to ensure the university’s digital presence accurately reflects its academic achievements. The examination covered a comprehensive range of theoretical and practical topics discussed during the course, including: Content Management: Techniques for publishing news, articles, and announcements, as well as updating academic and administrative data. Design and User Experience (UX): Principles for improving website aesthetics and ensuring seamless navigation for visitors. Cybersecurity: Best practices for protecting websites from electronic threats and managing access permissions. CMS Proficiency: Practical application on the specific Content Management Systems utilized by the university. The exam was supervised by a specialized committee from the Information Technology Division. The committee emphasized that such training is vital for elevating the technical proficiency of staff and enhancing the university’s digital communication with students, researchers, and the public. A spokesperson for the IT Division stated: "This course reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to continuous professional development. By empowering our website coordinators, we ensure the delivery of accurate, high-quality digital content that meets international standards." Results are expected to be announced in the coming days, with certificates of completion awarded to participants who successfully met the evaluation criteria.

The Information Technology Department launches the laboratory system at the Faculty of Engineering Technology at Al MustaqbalUniversity

The Information Technology Division at Al Mustaqbal University launched an electronic laboratory system at the College of Engineering Technology, as part of its ongoing efforts to develop the digital infrastructure and enhance the level of educational and administrative services within the college. The system aims to streamline laboratory management by facilitating lab bookings, distributing practical lectures, monitoring equipment and devices, and documenting lab usage by faculty and students. It also contributes to reducing manual effort and enhancing accuracy and transparency in resource management. The Information Technology Division emphasized that this system is part of the university's digital transformation plan, which seeks to automate procedures and provide a modern learning environment based on advanced technologies. The system was implemented under the supervision and monitoring of the division's technical staff, with the potential for future development to integrate with other electronic systems adopted at the university, thus providing the best possible service to faculty and students.

Honoring outstanding students in the Information Technology Department for the year 2025 at Al-Mustaqbal University

Al Mustaqbal University keeps pace with the digital revolution with a training workshop on e-management and developing the university's website.

Under the patronage and supervision of Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy, President of Al Mustaqbal University, Future University held a specialized workshop entitled: "Website Development and Training for Website Administrators on Electronic Management and Digital Transformation." This workshop was part of the university's ongoing efforts to keep pace with technological advancements and enhance its presence within the smart university framework. The workshop was led by programmers Wameedh Dhia Shamsi, Mohammed Maitham Mohammed, and Mr. Mustafa Fahem Ibrahim. They provided practical training on developing and managing university websites and standardizing electronic publishing mechanisms, with a focus on employing artificial intelligence technologies to serve website visitors through smart assistance tools, interactive search, and an enhanced user experience. The workshop covered several topics, including: Developing the university website's technical infrastructure and updating user interfaces. Implementing modern electronic management systems to improve institutional efficiency. Integrating artificial intelligence services to provide an interactive digital experience for visitors. Enhancing electronic integration among the university's various colleges, units, and centers. The Technology Incubator Division at Al-Mustaqbal University Holds a Joint Meeting with a Representative from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research As part of efforts to enhance cooperation between universities and state institutions, the Technology Incubator Division at Al-Mustaqbal University held an important meeting today, at the University Presidency, with the attendance of a representative from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the University President, and a number of academic and administrative staff. The meeting discussed ways to develop support programs for entrepreneurial projects and technological innovation, as well as mechanisms to strengthen coordination between the incubator and the ministry to provide an enabling environment for nurturing students and innovators ideas and transforming them into viable projects. During the meeting, the University President emphasized the importance of such collaboration, noting that Al-Mustaqbal University aims to be a nurturing environment for creativity and innovation and is committed to supporting young talents within a scientific and institutional framework. For his part, the representative of the ministry praised the efforts made by the university and the Technology Incubator Division, affirming the ministry s full support for entrepreneurial initiatives that contribute to the advancement of higher education and scientific research in Iraq.

A new achievement has been added to the series of accomplishments by Al-Mustaqbal University International, as it topped Iraqi universities in the 2025 US News global ranking.

Professor Dr. Hasan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, announced that the university has secured the first place among Iraqi universities in the prestigious US News & World Report Global Ranking for the year 2025, marking a new academic achievement added to the university’s distinguished record of excellence and progress. According to the ranking results, seven Iraqi universities made it into this year s list, which included 2,250 universities worldwide. Al-Mustaqbal University ranked first in Iraq, among both public and private universities, followed by the University of Sulaymaniyah in second place, and the University of Baghdad in third. The ranking continued with the University of Technology, Cihan University – Erbil, the University of Babylon, and the University of Basrah occupying the fourth to seventh places respectively. Regionally, Al-Mustaqbal University ranked 396th in Asia among the best Asian universities. In terms of disciplines, the university achieved rank 751 in Chemistry and rank 771 in Engineering, according to subject-based evaluations. The US News & World Report – Best Global Universities Ranking is based on a set of rigorous indicators that measure academic and research performance. The data is collected automatically from the global Clarivate Analytics database. Key indicators used in the ranking include global and regional research reputation, the number and impact of published papers, international collaboration, as well as the quality and quantity of citations, and excellence in scientific disciplines. It is worth noting that Al-Mustaqbal University’s excellence in several academic programs, particularly in engineering and chemistry, reflects its continued investment in developing a strong research infrastructure and an academic environment that fosters innovation and creativity. In a statement to the university’s media, Professor Dr. Hasan Shaker Majdi congratulated all faculty members, staff, and students on this significant achievement. Al-Mustaqbal University celebrates topping Iraqi universities in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2025 and achieving first place globally in the Clean Energy category.

With high-level official and academic attendance from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, along with a large number of presidents of public and private universities, academics, and students, Al-Mustaqbal University celebrated its achievement of topping Iraqi universities after marking a significant milestone in its academic and scientific journey. The university announced it had secured first place in Iraq in the 2025 Times Higher Education Impact Rankings (THE Impact Rankings), in addition to achieving first place globally in the category of “Affordable and Clean Energy” (Goal 7 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals), in an unprecedented accomplishment that reflects the progress of higher education in Iraq and the university’s commitment to sustainability and institutional excellence. This announcement came during the opening of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s conference on the Digital Transformation and Automation Project, hosted by Al-Mustaqbal University under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, Minister of Higher Education, and in the presence of his representative at the conference, Professor Dr. Haider Abdul-Dhahad, Deputy Minister for Scientific Research Affairs, along with many university presidents, vice presidents, deans, academics, and students. In his speech, Professor Dr. Haider Abdul-Dhahad praised this exceptional achievement by Al-Mustaqbal University, describing it as “a source of pride for all of Iraq, not just for the university.” He emphasized that these results confirm the ability of Iraqi universities to compete internationally when strong will and effective institutional planning are in place. On behalf of the university president, Professor Dr. Hasan Shaker Majdi, Professor Dr. Muzafar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision at Al-Mustaqbal University, expressed pride in this national achievement. He emphasized that universities today are more than ever required to be smart, transparent, and efficient environments, capable of bringing about real change in society. It is worth mentioning that the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings is one of the world’s most prominent rankings, assessing universities based on their contributions to achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It is considered a prestigious international indicator for evaluating universities in terms of sustainability, community engagement, governance, environment, and education.
