Al-Mustaqbal University has ranked first among private universities and colleges in Iraq and second nationally in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2024, announced on Wednesday, June 12, 2024. The official results indicated that Basra University ranked first (401-600) globally, followed by Al-Mustaqbal University in second place (601-800) globally. Baghdad University came in third place (601-800), followed by Babel University in fourth place (801-1000). It is worth noting that the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings assess the responses of universities worldwide to achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The University President pointed out that the university ranked 200-600 globally out of 2152 universities included in the rankings. Al-Mustaqbal University also ranked first among Iraqi universities in SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-Being), and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions), in addition to achieving high ranks in other goals.
