A Major Tree-Planting Campaign at Al-Mustaqbal University with the Planting of Ten Thousand Seedlings Across the Campus

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, the university launched a large-scale tree-planting campaign across its campus and surrounding areas. During the initiative, ten thousand perennial tree seedlings were planted, reflecting the university’s commitment to supporting the National Afforestation Program and promoting environmental sustainability while protecting the campus environment The campaign was organized in coordination with the Diwan Affairs Department at the University Presidency, which supervised and followed up on the implementation of the planting activities as part of the university’s vision to expand green spaces and improve the quality of the urban environment within the campus This initiative comes within the university’s broader efforts to support environmental initiatives and address climate change by enhancing vegetation cover and reducing the carbon footprint, in addition to providing a healthy and attractive educational environment for students and staff The campaign witnessed wide participation from academic leaders, university professors, staff members, and students, particularly students from the Sustainability Ambassadors Initiative, who played an active role in carrying out the planting activities. Seedlings were distributed and planted in several locations across the campus, contributing to increased biodiversity and adding a sustainable aesthetic character to the university’s facilities The campaign aims to promote environmental awareness and strengthen the culture of environmental volunteering among students, as well as encourage initiatives that contribute to protecting natural resources and enhancing the role of academic institutions in serving society Through this initiative, Al-Mustaqbal University also seeks to encourage volunteerism among students and strengthen their sense of institutional belonging, contributing to building a cooperative university community committed to environmental protection and community development At the conclusion of the event, the President of the University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, expressed his sincere appreciation to the Diwan Affairs Department at the University Presidency for their significant efforts in organizing and successfully implementing this important environmental event. Al-Mustaqbal University Launches an Integrated Digital System for Managing the Educational Process within the Smart University Project

Al-Mustaqbal University continues to strengthen its digital transformation efforts by developing its technological systems as part of the Smart University Project launched by the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi. The initiative aims to modernize the university’s digital infrastructure and enhance the efficiency of managing the educational process in line with the latest technologies and modern systems In this context, the University President chaired a meeting dedicated to following up on the development stages of one of the key digital systems that the university is preparing to launch soon. The system is the electronic educational management system, which focuses on organizing and distributing teaching assignments, auditing lectures, and managing the teaching workload in a way that aligns with the structure of faculty members’ duties and academic requirements The meeting was attended by several officials from the university presidency and specialists concerned with this file. Al-Mustaqbal University Shines in the 2026 SCImago Institutions Rankings and Tops Private Universities in Iraq

Al-Mustaqbal University has achieved a new academic milestone by ranking first among private universities in Iraq and securing sixth place out of 76 public and private Iraqi universities included in the 2026 results of the SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR). This accomplishment reflects the university’s steadily advancing academic and research performance and further strengthens its position within the higher education landscape. The SCImago ranking is recognized as one of the leading global classification systems evaluating the performance of universities and research institutions based on objective criteria, including research output, innovation, and societal impact, relying on reputable international scientific databases. At the level of academic disciplines, the university achieved distinguished rankings among Iraqi universities as follows Mechanical Engineering: First place Construction and Building Engineering: First place Business Administration and Accounting: Second place The President of the University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, affirmed that this achievement is the result of sustained institutional efforts in supporting scientific research, promoting publication in reputable journals, and developing the academic environment. Al-Mustaqbal University Discusses Enhancing Academic Cooperation and Supporting International Accreditation with the University of Jordan

As part of its strategic vision aimed at developing academic and research performance and strengthening its regional and international presence, Al-Mustaqbal University held an academic meeting with the University of Jordan on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at the Presidency Building of the University of Jordan in the office of the Vice President for Accreditation, International Rankings, and Sustainability The meeting came as part of Al-Mustaqbal University’s efforts to expand its institutional partnerships, enhance its educational and research programs, and benefit from advanced academic expertise in the fields of academic accreditation, quality assurance, and global rankings The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Faleh Al-Sawair, Vice President for Accreditation, International Rankings, and Sustainability, and Dr. Nojoud Al-Dabai, Director of the Office of International Rankings and International Accreditation at the University of Jordan. Al-Mustaqbal University was represented by Professor Dr. Tariq Jawad Kazim, Director of the Scientific Affairs Department During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to develop scientific and academic cooperation, including activating joint cooperation agreements, strengthening student exchange programs and faculty exchange, as well as cooperation in the field of global rankings. Inauguration of Al-Mustaqbal University Council Hall in Accordance with International Standards and Affirmation of Progress Toward Academic Excellence

In a step that reflects its ongoing commitment to developing infrastructure and strengthening the university governance system, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, inaugurated the University Council Hall in its new form. The hall was designed and equipped in accordance with the latest international standards in engineering design and smart technologies, in line with the requirements of modern university administration and sound academic decision-making The inauguration coincided with the seventh session of the University Council for the 2025–2026 academic year, chaired by the University President and attended by the Council members, including the assistants and deans.
