As part of AL_Mustaqbal University’s commitment to establishing scientific and academic partnerships with prestigious global universities, particularly Arab universities, the President of the University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdi, visited Helwan University in the Arab Republic of Egypt. He was welcomed by Dr. Sayed Kandil, President of Helwan University. Accompanying the President of Future University during the visit were Dr. Mudhaffar Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Dr. Mohammed Abdulrahman, Assistant Dean of the College of Pharmacy, and Dr. Riyad Malik, Professor at the College of Administrative Sciences. The meeting was attended by Dr. Hussam Rafai, Vice President of Helwan University for Education and Students Affairs, Dr. Emad Abu Al-Dahab, Vice President of the University for Graduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Haitham Swelim, Director of the International Students Department at the university. Dr. Sayed Kandil, President of Helwan University, welcomed the visiting delegation and expressed his pleasure with the visit, noting that there are many commonalities between the two sides, making cooperation in areas of mutual interest quite feasible, especially with both sides expressing a real desire to activate such cooperation. He then reviewed the history of Helwan University, highlighting that it stands out for offering unique academic programs that combine applied sciences, arts, and humanities. He also pointed out that the history of the university’s faculties extends beyond the official establishment of the university in 1975, which adds to its distinguished academic and historical depth. For his part, the President of AL_Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Magdy, expressed his happiness with the visit to Helwan University, emphasizing that it is a distinguished academic institution both locally and internationally and serves as a model to be emulated in the development of the educational and research process. He expressed his aspiration to strengthen academic cooperation between the two universities for the benefit of both sides. He mentioned that AL_Mustaqbal University in Iraq comprises 14 colleges covering a wide range of medical, engineering, and humanities disciplines, in addition to two research centers for Artificial Intelligence and Renewable Energy. The university also hosts two international Master's programs and is involved in the first international partnership for graduate studies in Iraqi universities. He further added that the university is striving to expand its scientific and academic cooperation through partnerships with renowned universities such as Helwan University. During the meeting, discussions took place on possible areas of cooperation, which included graduate programs, joint research, faculty and student exchanges, joint supervision, scientific discussions, and collaborative research projects.
