Department of Cultural Relations

The Cultural Relationships Department is affiliated to the Vice President for Academic Affairs. The Department is responsible for establishing and developing scientific and academic cultural exchange programs and organizing the memorandums of understanding with universities and institutions of mutual interest. Among the department's main tasks is raising the scientific, educational, and professional competence of faculty staff, and other technical and administrative staff in the university. This is achieved through facilitating the participation of all staff in their participation in local, regional and international scientific and cultural activities. Most of such participation are implemented under the umbrella of the signed memorandums of understanding with universities, organizations, unions, and bodies related .to education, culture, and science

President of Al-Mustaqbal University Visits Istanbul Aydin University to Strengthen Academic and Cultural Cooperation

As part of its ongoing efforts to advance academic collaboration and foster cultural ties with international educational institutions, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, conducted an official visit to Istanbul Aydin University. He was received by Professor Mustafa Aydin, Chairman of the Board of Trustees and President of the Eurasian Universities Union (EURASIA). The visit featured an official reception reflecting the strong relationship between the two institutions, followed by a field tour of the university hospital, which stands as a distinguished model in medical education, scientific research, and healthcare services. The tour highlighted the advanced capabilities of the hospital and its role in supporting a modern and dynamic academic environment. On the sidelines of the visit, an official dinner banquet was held in honor of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, attended by a number of prominent academic and official figures, including the Governor of Istanbul Airport and Professor Ibrahim Aydin, President of Istanbul Aydin University, along with several university leaders and deans. The occasion provided an opportunity to exchange perspectives on enhancing bilateral cooperation and expanding academic collaboration. Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in academic and research fields, with particular emphasis on supporting youth in both countries by providing stimulating educational environments and effective platforms for the exchange of ideas and innovation. Both sides also underscored the importance of expanding academic exchange programs and promoting joint research initiatives. This visit reflects the commitment of both Al-Mustaqbal University and Istanbul Aydin University to advancing academic and cultural cooperation, contributing to the development of the educational process, and fostering an environment that promotes creativity and innovation. Strengthening Academic Collaboration Between Al-Mustaqbal University and the University of Petra

As part of its ongoing commitment to advancing academic relations and expanding international cooperation, Al-Mustaqbal University continues to activate the provisions of its cooperation agreement with the University of Petra in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. This effort aims to enhance scientific research and support pathways toward academic excellence. This initiative was undertaken under the direction of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi. In this context, Professor Dr. Tariq Jawad Kadhim, Director of the Scientific Affairs Department, conducted an official visit to the University of Petra, during which he held a series of meetings with academic leaders at the Faculty of Engineering. The discussions focused on strengthening joint collaboration in scientific research, conducting laboratory testing within the framework of shared research projects, and advancing cooperation in areas related to academic accreditation, international certifications, and global rankings. Both parties also explored mechanisms to further develop and activate previously established activities under the agreement, while emphasizing the importance of organizing joint workshops and scientific conferences. These efforts are expected to contribute to the exchange of expertise and the enhancement of academic outcomes. Signing of an Academic Twinning Agreement Between the Department of Civil Engineering at Al-Mustaqbal University and Al-Qasim Green University

As part of ongoing efforts to strengthen academic collaboration and expand the horizons of scientific partnership, the Department of Civil Engineering at the College of Engineering, Al-Mustaqbal University, has signed an academic twinning agreement with its counterpart at Al-Qasim Green University. This initiative aims to support the advancement of the educational process and enhance the quality of engineering education. The agreement encompasses several areas of academic and scientific cooperation, including the exchange of expertise among faculty members, the organization of joint seminars and workshops, and the promotion of collaborative research activities. It also focuses on the development and modernization of curricula in alignment with labor market demands and recent advancements in the field of civil engineering. This agreement aligns with the strategic vision of the College of Engineering at Al-Mustaqbal University to strengthen academic partnerships with Iraqi universities, thereby contributing to the development of an advanced educational environment based on knowledge exchange and scientific collaboration. It also supports the achievement of the fourth Sustainable Development Goal (SDG 4), which aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education.

Al-Mustaqbal University Strengthens National Partnerships by Signing a Scientific and Academic Memorandum of Understanding with Al-Nahrain University

As part of its strategic direction to broaden scientific and academic cooperation and strengthen institutional partnerships, Al‑Mustaqbal University signed a joint Scientific and Academic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Al‑Nahrain University, in line with the directives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the vision of the University Presidency to promote integration between public and private universities and the exchange of expertise. The MoU was signed during an official visit by a delegation from Al-Mustaqbal University, headed by the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and including the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Professor Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairy, the Educational Advisor, Professor Dr. Mohsen Abdul Ali, and the Director of Cultural Relations, Dr. Samir Badrawi. The delegation was received by the President of Al-Nahrain University, Professor Dr. Ali Abdulaziz Al-Shawi, along with the Vice Presidents and a number of College Deans. The meeting featured an exchange of views on activating collaboration between corresponding colleges and research centers at both universities, aiming to enhance joint scientific research and strengthen the integration of academic programs . The MoU encompasses several key areas, including the implementation of joint scientific research, participation in conferences, seminars, and workshops, academic exchange visits, joint supervision of postgraduate students, faculty capacity building, summer training programs for students, and curriculum development—contributing to the enhancement of higher education quality and achieving a sustainable scientific and developmental impact.
