In line with its strategic vision to enhance international engagement and openness to global academic experiences, the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, led a high-level academic delegation to participate in the opening session of the EURIE 2026 Summit, hosted in Istanbul. The summit witnessed broad participation from universities and educational and research institutions from across the world. The opening session brought together an eminent academic and governmental audience exceeding 2,000 participants, including university presidents, deans, professors, researchers, and higher-education experts. The event was also attended by the Turkish Minister of Higher Education and several members of the Turkish government, reflecting the growing importance of the summit as a prominent international platform for academic dialogue and the exchange of knowledge and expertise. The opening ceremony featured a series of keynote addresses delivered by distinguished international academic leaders, including Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, Mr. Phil Baty, and Prof. Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama. In their remarks, the speakers emphasized the importance of expanding international cooperation among higher-education institutions and strengthening the exchange of academic knowledge and expertise. The Al-Mustaqbal University delegation included Prof. Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al‑Zuhairi, Assistant Prof. Dr. Ali Shakir Majdi, Assistant Prof. Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, and Prof. Dr. Salwan Obaid, in addition to a number of faculty members and academic staff. Commenting on this occasion, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi stated that Al-Mustaqbal University’s participation in the opening session of the summit represents an important step within the university’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its international presence and engage with advanced global educational experiences. He noted that such participation contributes to expanding opportunities for academic cooperation and establishing strategic partnerships with leading universities and educational institutions.
