As part of its ongoing efforts to establish partnerships with prestigious international universities and in alignment with the Iraqi Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research’s initiative to internationalize higher education, AL-Mustaqbal University held a virtual meeting with Mansoura University in Egypt to activate and expand scientific and academic collaboration. At the outset of the meeting, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of AL-Mustaqbal University, emphasized the significance of this discussion, which follows his recent visit to Mansoura University and the signing of a joint scientific cooperation protocol between the two institutions. He highlighted the meeting’s role in defining priorities and areas of mutual interest, particularly in scientific research, capacity building, curriculum development, and academic exchange, all of which contribute to strengthening the quality of educational outcomes. From Mansoura University, Professor Dr. Tarek Ghalwash, Vice President of the University, expressed his appreciation for the ongoing communication between the two institutions, whether through exchange visits or continuous meetings. He noted that this reflects the strong willingness and commitment of both sides to cooperate and reach agreements on various academic initiatives, while taking into account the available resources and the legal frameworks governing higher education in both countries. He further affirmed that Mansoura University is fully open to fostering collaboration and providing all necessary support to serve the interests of both universities. The meeting was attended by several senior officials from AL-Mustaqbal University, including Professor Dr. Mundhir Fadel Hassan, Administrative Assistant to the University President; Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision; along with deans and department heads from the university administration. On the Mansoura University side, Professor Dr. Tarek Ghalwash was joined by vice presidents, deans, and directors of various academic centers and departments. The session concluded with an agreement to maintain direct communication between corresponding college deans from both universities to further discuss the agenda points raised during the meeting. These discussions will continue in subsequent meetings to finalize decisions and implement collaborative initiatives.
